Nominations for Youth Awards 2019 now open

We all have family and friends who do incredible things in the community. And, sometimes, it doesn't get the recognition it deserves.

Here's your chance to say thank you!

With awards in sports, arts, community and more, we want to know who you think deserves a nomination for their achievements in East Auckland.

Nominations close November 9. Anyone can put a nomination in! Youth between the ages 12 and 24 are eligible for awards.

The nomination form, as well as extra information, can be found here!

Applications for the Youth Council

The Howick Youth Council is recruiting for 2020. As much as being part of the youth council is about serving our community, it's also an incredible opportunity for personal growth.

What do you gain being on the youth council? Find out for yourself from our members!

We’ve begun accepting open seat applications for young people aged between 12 and 24 who live, learn or work in the Howick Ward. If you’re passionate about our goal to represent, develop and connect all young people in East Auckland, apply through this link.

You better get in quick as applications will be closing on Friday at 11:59pm.

Want to find out more about the Howick Youth Council and what we do? Check out our 2019 induction booklet.

We’ll also be looking for school representatives in our nine local colleges. Make sure you keep an eye out for how to apply if you will be in Year 12 (and in some schools Year 13 as well) in 2020.
