The 2020 Youth Film Festival is a fantastic opportunity for youth passionate about producing creative films to have their work showcased at Monterey Cinemas, with last year’s showing resulting in a sold out theatre and over 100 attendees.

All films will be critically judged, providing an opportunity for the youth of East Auckland to explore and expand on their creativity, with the provided feedback.
The East Auckland Youth Film Festival is proudly brought to you by the Howick Youth Council and supported by Monterey Cinemas in Howick Village — the Howick Youth Council is supported by the Howick Local Board.
This event is subject to external conditions around the prevention of COVID-19 and implications for mass gatherings including potential postponement. The Howick Youth Council will advise further to the time of showcase of any preventative measures to be undertaken.
